I have sent dozens of emails to Crucial customer service. I repeatedly ask if they will ever send me the hard drive replacement to honor the warranty of a bad hard drive they sold me. Unfortunately, it’s not practical to boycott all Crucial products. As a matter of fact, the warranty on other Crucial products seems to be holding just fine. Additionally, their system scanner is a wonderful product, even though it’s not really relevant to computer repair places near me. It, too, offers a wonderful warranty that they seem to honor. Sadly, the only warranty that Crucial seems to be reneging on is the hard drive warranty.

There are literally dozens of brands of hard drives that are either comparable or even better than Crucial. In fact, earlier I mentioned one of the best ones, Samsung, which is extremely reliable. If you buy a Samsung hard drive, then you are ensuring the best quality drive in your computer. Another brand that offers wonderful quality is the Western Digital Black series. I would highly recommend it for any computer due to its wonderful speeds and performance. Additionally, many computer repair places near me recommend Western Digital Black for gaming computers. If you have a gaming computer, then I would definitely try it. It’s considered the very best.

Since posting this blog Crucial has replaced all hard drives under warranty. Some of these hard drives had been disputed for over a year.
