As soon as I updated the firmware on the hard drive, the computer started working perfectly, with no issues whatsoever. This was definitely one of those situations where there is no way that anyone could have really figured out this issue. I’m extremely proud of myself for pushing forward and finally getting the answer. I’m especially grateful to all of the computer technicians that helped me along the way.
