The Beginning of My Computer Repair Shop Story
Once upon a time there was a beautiful man, yes, a man. That is correct, you heard right, I am talking about the most beautiful man that ever existed. It wasn’t his beauty on the outside that made him an absolutely gorgeous and beautiful man. No, his beauty wasn’t external, it was an internal beauty. Additionally, it was something no one else saw, yet it was always there. In fact, you could take one look at him, and he seemed like nothing special, just an ordinary “Joe” as it were. Unfortunately, he even thought he was nothing special. Day after day, he looked in the mirror and told himself, “You are nothing special Joe”. Of course, he also believed it when he said it.
My Computer Repair Shop Story Continues
Joe was not much of a technological person; one could say that technology wasn’t exactly his friend. Furthermore, Joe avoided technology at all costs; he didn’t even own a computer or a phone. “Those are toys that aren’t for me” Joe would say. As a matter of fact, Joe decided many years ago that he would NEVER use a piece of technology for as long as he lived. All in all, Joe was completely set in his ways and completely convinced that technology had nothing to offer him. One day, Joe met with his friend Bobby, who had just met a wonderful woman online. Of course, Bobby bragged about this amazing new woman and how he was completely in love and ready to get married. Obviously, Joe was not impressed and scoffed at the idea of meeting a woman on a computer.
An Unexpected Stop in My Computer Repair Shop Story
Several days passed since talking to his friend Bobby and Joe decided that he too would like to find a lovely lady. In fact, Joe walked all over the small town that he lived in and tried to mingle with all the local ladies. Unfortunately, Joe’s efforts were fruitless and after several weeks things were looking pretty bleak for this poor man. He sulked all over town, until he came upon a tiny computer repair shop. At that point, he was so depressed that he decided to go inside and ask about possibly buying a computer. Maybe this was the solution to his problems? It’s entirely possible that he was wrong about this whole technological thing and maybe this was the way to meet the right lady? “I’ll give it a try” he thought and reluctantly walked in.
A Mystery Woman in My Computer Repair Shop Story
As soon as Joe walked into the computer repair shop, he was bombarded by computer technicians. In fact, they tried selling him this laptop and that desktop and all kinds of things. In this case, it was completely terrifying and he didn’t know what to do. Then he saw her, the one person who wasn’t trying to sell him anything. She was sitting behind the counter, just fixing a computer and completely ignoring him. Of course, Joe became completely convinced that this was the person who absolutely needed to help him. He walked over to the lady and asked if she could please help him find a computer to purchase because he wanted to find a date online. She stopped what she was doing, gently smiled, and said, “I have just the thing for you”.
A Strange Turn of Events in My Computer Repair Shop Story
The lady at the PC repair shop showed Joe many basic computers to get him started on his dating journey. If it was inexpensive and easy to use, then she showed it to him. As a matter of fact, he got the idea that she wasn’t trying to sell him anything fancy or that he didn’t need. First, she showed him all the touchscreen computers, which caused him to become confused every time he pointed at the screen. Obviously, this wasn’t going to work. Second, she showed him all the tablets, which were also touchscreens, a terrible idea. Finally, she showed him all the basic computers, and these seemed just right.
Purchasing a Computer at the Computer Repair Shop
After giving him several discounts, Joe was finally able to purchase a laptop from the lovely lady at the PC repair shop. In fact, he was so excited to buy the computer that he didn’t even thank her for helping him as he was leaving. Instead, he bolted out of the PC repair shop and went straight home with his new machine. Once at home, he opened the box and set up his new computer, completely excited. Although he had no idea what he was doing, he managed to set it up and sign up for a dating website.
Internet Dating and the Computer Repair Shop Story
Internet dating doesn’t always go well for everyone. This is especially true for wonderfully kind people, like Joe. In fact, it seemed like the more women he met, the worse things seemed to go for him. This is what I meant when I said that Joe is a beautiful person on the inside, but nobody can see it. Except, somebody did see it. Unfortunately, Joe is completely preoccupied with the internet these days, that he hasn’t even looked at his receipt. If he had looked at his receipt, then he would notice the note in gorgeous handwriting. The note reads, “you don’t need a computer to ask me out on a date”.
Time Passed at the Computer Repair Shop
Several Weeks passed and Joe still hadn’t acquired his much-desired companionship online. Not only was he completely discouraged but he was ready to return the darn computer. As a matter of fact, he packed it up and frantically looked for the receipt to take it back. Upon finding the receipt, he noticed the little note and smiled. He ran to the computer repair shop and found the pretty lady, then he handed her the receipt. Fortunately, he was able to return the laptop, but not before telling her to flip the receipt over. On the back it read, “I found what I was looking for. No computer is needed. Friday 6pm?”
