Summer Stories and Computer Fixers
I have put together this compilation of summer stories about computer repair and computer fixers. Most of these stories contain the horrors that occur with computer fixers in the summer.
Fun in the Sun and Computer Fixers
Anna liked to take her computer to the poolside so that she could write her book and get a little sun. In fact, this was a daily routine for her in the summer months. One day, she fell asleep in her lounge chair, with her laptop open on her lap. Little did she realize that the sun was directly hitting the laptop screen. When she woke up, her laptop was burning hot, and her screen was no longer turned on. Despite her best efforts, her screen would simply not turn on. In fact, she had to take it to local computer fixers to replace the screen because the sun had completely fried it. It’s important to never leave electronics in the sun, especially those with screens.
Overheated in the Sun and Computer Fixers
Derreck is an executive with a large corporation that we won’t name. He loves playing volleyball and will occasionally sit in the sun with his computer and do some work. In this case, Derreck sat directly in the sun for a nice tan, with his computer on his lap. As he worked, he realized that his computer became increasingly hot. As a matter of fact, the computer turned off a few times with a temperature warning. He continued to work on his laptop, disregarding these warnings. All of a sudden, his computer turned off and would not turn back on. Uh oh. After taking it to a local computer repair shop, he realized that his motherboard overheated to the point of destruction. As a matter of fact, his computer was now a paperweight. Note to self, do not ignore computer warnings.
The Sticky Birthday Keys and Computer Fixers
Birthday parties are so much fun, especially children’s birthday parties. Elle has an 8-year-old boy that she planned the perfect birthday party for. In fact, a year ago, Elle bought her son a brand-new laptop. Furthermore, he thought it would be a good idea to watch a movie with his friends at the end of the birthday party. They really loved Lightning McQueen. Unfortunately, his friends kept fast forwarding and rewinding certain plot twists in the movie as a joke. Needless to say, after the party was over some of the boy’s keyboard keys were stuck. After taking it to a local computer repair shop, they realized that all the kids had been eating cake while watching tv. Additionally, their dirty fingers had gotten some cake onto the keyboard and now it wasn’t working. Lesson in the story? This summer don’t touch your computer with food on your hands.
Melted Power Cable and Computer Fixers
Ron was cleaning his house in anticipation of his parents visiting for a weekend this summer. As he was cleaning, Ron noticed that his laptop cable stuck out like a sore thumb. As a matter of fact, he became so annoyed with it that he put it under a rug in his living room. Ron didn’t realize that there was direct sun over the rug, and this might cause issues with his power cable. As Ron’s parents arrived, there was a burning smell in the living room and suddenly the carpet was on fire. Apparently, the warm rug and direct sunlight caused the power supply to overheat and catch fire. Moral of the story. Don’t put your power cable boxes underneath rugs.
Burnt Hard Drive and Computer Fixers
Tanya had several warnings on her computer about overheating, including her computer shutting down several times. After several restarts, her operating system just suddenly stopped working, with a hard drive error. In fact, Tanya took it to local computer repair technicians who told her that her hot computer had fried the hard drive. She would have to replace her hard drive if she wanted to use her computer again. As mentioned previously, you should listen to warnings from your computer, they are important.
Poolside Fun and Computer Fixers
David never takes his computer outside of his house. However, today he had a pool party and a deadline for work. He was going to need to try and squeeze fun and work together. As he sat by the pool working, a young man climbed up to the diving board, curled into a ball and jumped. Although there wasn’t much water, this act excited dozens of children in the pool who all began splashing water at each other simultaneously. Droplet of water went flying all over the air, including onto David’s laptop. As he typed his work, he could feel the water but thought that his computer would “be ok”. Unfortunately, some of that water seeped into his keyboard and motherboard. As a matter of fact, David heard a sizzling sound, his computer turned off, and he realized that he had made a mistake taking his laptop to the pool.
Swamp Coolers and Computer Fixers
Swamp coolers are a type of air conditioner that sprays a mist of air into a room and cools it. Unfortunately, this water can get into electronics and cause them to fry. If you have a swamp cooler, then be sure to keep all electronics as far away from the main swamp cooler vent as possible. In fact, if there is a room that the swamp cooler doesn’t reach, then you might want to consider using that room for your electronics.
Summer Warranties and Computer Fixers
These days every company offers warranties and guarantees on their products. However, this isn’t necessarily true if you fry your computer with the sun or water. As a matter of fact, most warranties do not cover scenarios of neglect. In most cases, they only cover issues with manufacturing. Make sure you read the fine print when you get a warranty for your computer.
