First, you want to consider that mechanical hard drives go out very easily on a laptop. Furthermore, I like to buy Samsung hard drives because they seem to last approximately 5 years. In hard drive years, this is a very long time. If you want to buy a better hard drive for your computer, then purchase a solid state drive.

When you purchase a computer, you are given a power cable, aka power supply. Furthermore, this power cable is what supplies power to your computer. In some cases, the power cable is extremely thin and delicate. I would not recommend buying a computer with a thin and delicate power cable. In fact, thin and delicate power cables lead more to accidental breakage than larger ones. Additionally, there are power cables with HUGE power boxes, the box that is attached to your cable. Sometimes, with the larger boxes, they can overheat to the point of burning carpet, pillows, and blankets. If you are looking for a new computer, then be sure to find a normal-sized cable with a small to medium power box. In fact, you’ll find that most large power boxes are for gaming computers. If you don’t need a gaming computer, then choose a smaller box.
